Flatline
Austin investigative journalist Peter Richards has a shady past, a questionable reputation, and a talent for enemies. When he gets fired, those problems start closing in. Then one night, with his wife and daughter asleep down the hall, he watches his neighbor get murdered. Against every instinct, Peter inserts himself into the investigation. It's a mistake. Within days, he's the prime suspect, and the deeper he digs, the clearer it becomes that someone has been waiting for him to look.
Half Life
It's 2025, and retired investigative journalist Peter Richards spends his days doing quiet, questionable work for companies that need their reputations managed. His mechanical heart is on its third upgrade, and lately he's been wondering how much of him is still left. Then, at his daughter's gymnastics class, he spots a couple he's certain the rest of the world believes are dead. Peter can't let it go. What starts as a search for the truth pulls him into a digital landscape where identity is fluid, reality is constructed, and Peter isn't sure anymore which version of himself to trust.
